Today is World Malaria Day and we have created a little roundup page<http://globalhealth.washington.edu/malaria-roundup-uw> of UW-related videos and articles.

In August 2011, Ray Chambers, the United Nations secretary general's special envoy for malaria, set a goal for reducing malaria deaths to zero by 2015. See why a report by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) in February 2012 says that won't be likely.
Also, we have videos on the malaria work of UW Prof. Pradip Rathod and team, which have grants from the NIH and the Gates Foundation. We also have a Science in Medicine lecture by Prof. Wesley Van Voorhis, as well as a song and rap video.

We hope to see many of you at the World Malaria Day event at PATH from 4-7:30 p.m. UW Prof. Christopher Murray, director of IHME, will be the keynote and PATH's Malaria Control Program Dir. Kent Campbell will give opening remarks.
