Meet & Greet for Incoming Students of Color & Students Interested in Diversity!

Oct. 15 (Thurs.) 3:00-4:00pm MGH 310D, Conference Room



This means you! iSchool diversity is inclusive! This event is immediately prior to the GO-MAP Getting Connected Orientation and Reception and connects incoming iSchool students of color and other students, faculty, and staff interested in diversity at the iSchool and the UW. We will gather for a short reception, and all iSchool students attending the GO-MAP Getting Connected New Student Orientation can walk together from our Meet & Greet at 4:00pm.

A little about who we are: GO-MAP is committed to serving the needs of students of color and other underrepresented groups*, enhancing academic and funding opportunities and encouraging scholarship and research that explores and supports cultural diversity.

Please join us in getting to know each other and celebrating diversity at tomorrow's event:

"Getting Connected" Orientation and Reception- Thursday, Oct. 15
This event is an opportunity for new minority graduate students to meet returning graduate students, faculty and staff and to network and get information on resources about how to thrive in graduate school. This is a GO-MAP signature event complete with faculty and student panels, food and dancing!

The schedule of events is as follows:
4 - 7pm Orientation for new students
7-10pm Reception for new and returning students, faculty and staff
