Disrupting Racist Moments: How can we recognize and address racist moments in our daily lives?
Have you ever been in a class room or had discussion among friends and something just didn't feel right and you wondered...
Why did that seem uncomfortable? Is that racism? Why does that even matter? or I'm not really sure what to do about it...
Join Evans School student group, Partnership for Community and Diversity (PCD), for a student-led discussion on ways and reasons to address racism:
Brown Bag Lunch, Discussion, and Caucusing*
Friday March 5, 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
Room HUB 209B
*What is a Caucusing Session? A Caucus is a strategy for building anti-racism skills that creates separate spaces for individuals to work on issues of race and racism within their respective racial identity. These groups are most commonly White Allies and People of Color. In these groups, members find needed freedom and support for the individual and collective struggle to understand and confront the effects of racism.
PCD is a group of graduate students committed to promoting diversity and social justice at the Evans School of Public Affairs.
