Nishikawa sensei,
Thank you for taking my call earlier today. As I mentioned, I work for
an inbound Japanese travel operator called Azumano International. This
September, we are coordinating the school trip for Shukutoku Yono High
School, a private girls' school in Saitama prefecture.
Eleven homeroom classes will be visiting Seattle and Oregon this year,
first participating in a homestay program in Oregon and sightseeing,
then traveling to Seattle for more sightseeing, including a Puget Sound
dinner cruise. Each class has a different itinerary, depending on the
focus of their homeroom. Several of the classes will be visiting the
University of Washington for a campus tour.
We are looking for students with an interest in Japanese culture who
would be able to give a campus tour in English to about 20 Japanese
students.
Specifically, the tour times are scheduled for:
9/29 (Mon) from 1:30 pm-3:30 pm (2 students needed)
9/30 (Tue) from 9:00 am-11:00 am (2 students needed)
9/30 (Tue) from 1:30-3:30 pm (2 students needed)
Compensation is $30 per tour per student guide.
If you could forward this to students who might be interested in this
opportunity, I would really appreciate it. Please let me know if you
need further information.
Sincerely,
Carrie Numata
