RedHat 5.2 & Samba 2.0.3

Hopefully, someone out there can give us a hand. We're running RedHat 5.2
(i386) and Samba 2.0.3. Currently, I can connect a Wintel box to our
samba server via my personal user account. I can also print to our
plethora of assigned printers via my personal user account.

What we want is true public printing for our Wintel (95, 98, NT) users in
the Dept. This is what we can not get to work. We'd like a PC user in
the dept to be able to print to our printes, via the samba server, but
without having to have their own user account on the Linux box. From what
we understand, we should be able to create a stripped down (permission
wise) public account on the Linux box, and associate that with a public
printing account via samba. For the life of us, we've tried and tried and
tried but still can't get a form of public printing to work.

Anyone out there using an Intel Linux box and samba for public printing?
If so, we'd like to hear from you. We can even offer bribes/rewards for
anyeone who seriously helps us in getting this to work.

Please email Steve and myself if you have any information, advice, or
answers for us!

Many thanks in advance,

Michael
