Hi,
I'm writing a script to open my dorm room door (wired it to
computer control, tee hee). I need some help. Basically it's a very
simple process:
Motor Turns on:
Waits 2 seconds;
Motor turns off.
I got the Motor on and Motor off parts, but I don't know how to set a 2
second delay. Can someone shred some light on it?
For those who are interested, here's my mechanical setup:
2 yardsticks are taped to the door handle on the inside, forming a
mechanical lever extension to give the handle enough torque. The
yardstick is horizontal in the lock position, pointing 60 deg down off
horizontal in the open door position. An AC computer fan is attached to
the door, this is wired to an X10 controller under my bed, and a spool is
attached to the fan's hub to wind a string in to open the door. A rubber
band completes the setup by pulling it back to horizontal after the motor
turns off.
Software:
Software is done thru the bottlerocket software, available on

I live in 212 Terry, the setup should be complete by the time regular move
in starts on Thursday - if anyone want to come take a look see... 8-)
