Still LILO and 01 01 01?

Hi Chris, Daniel, Brad and Cliff and those who have helped.
It turned out that LILO was the problem! And after rpm-ed the latest LILO
from Mandrake, everything worked just fine.
Thanks guys! Got the 400 pages Running Linux, it's great.
