USB mice in X?

If I'm not mistaken there is no (or little) support for usb devices in
the current stable linux kernel (2.2.x), though if you feel adventurous, I
have heard that there is support in the current dev kernel (2.3.x) which
should make it into the 2.4 kernel...whenever it is released.
