Question on linux programming

I know this isn't completely linux orientated, but...
I've got a c program that I'm trying to debug. My problem seems to be the
way I'm setting up the serial port, and I'm not sure how to fix this. When I
run this program I get a "Didn't get ACK" message back, so the program seems to
write to the serial port ok (or at least it thinks it is), but it doesn't get
anything back. The code is not pretty, so I'm reluctant to include it, but no
one could help me if I didn't, I guess.. =)
I would _really_ appreciate help with this!
