interesting topics for user group presentation

Finally, someone replied!  Sheesh!  Anyway, I have to admit that Python is
sort of ticking me off right now with it's weird method of dealing with
objects.  I hate having to reference "self" every stinkin' time I make a
function (method) within a class.  And what's really annoying is when you
extend a class it's not enough just to let "self" be the extended object.
Instead, you have to make another data element that inherits the data type
of the extended object.  I'd be relieved to think that I am missing
something here but I've been looking over Guido's new Python 2.2 docs and
I fear that it's just as bleak as it seems.

Ok.  I'm done whining...regarding the OS X talk... the cookies at the end
were really grubin' ;)
