Hmm... I don't (yet) own a Macintosh, but based on a friend's experience 
it works perfectly fine if you use the BSD filesystem instead of HFS+. 
 I don't know if there's a conversion utility, but you are given the 
choice if/when you reinstall Mac OS X.

Obviously "Classic" won't work, but Apple's dropping support for that 
anyway, right?
