[linux] hardware raid (DAC960)

Hi all,

I bought a used server a few weeks ago. It's got 5 18GB SCSI drives
connected to a Mylex DAC960 RAID controller. I'm wondering if anyone has
any experience with this series of controllers. When I try to insmod or
modprobe the driver module (DAC960, v2.4.11) the system hangs after
printing the driver information. Since I'm booting from a live CD (Gentoo
1.4) I'm having a hard time figuring out what the problem is. If anyone
has any experience with this controller, that'd be great, but I'm not too
hopeful.
