[linux] NFS on Gentoo?

Hiya again,
    I was just wondering if anyone successfully setup nfs on Gentoo, because the last time I tried it didn't work. I just would like to use it more than Samba since some things didn't pan out with my other Windows pcs. Anyhow, I did add the filesystems to my /etc/exports file, but what should I do next (other than start the service)?
