Good plan (that's how I set mine up, so it must be correct :), but you 
sure don't need gigabit!  Neither your internet link nor your wireless 
traffic is going to tax the capacity of any common network card (the 
latter theoretically could if you have a lot of WAPs and a lot of 
clients).

I have a 3Com 509 (10Mb ISA) facing my DSL line, and a pair of decent 
100Mb PCI cards for the private and DMZ.  That's as fast as it needs to 
be.

The switch and NICs behind the private link, on the other hand, could 
definitely use the speed.
