Washington Mutual's Credit Information and Analytics Team is pleased to
announce the following open positions:

				Credit Risk Analyst - Analytics
				Contribute to executive management
credit risk decision making on a team responsible for portfolio
performance analysis, evaluation, and model building to mitigate loss
exposure. Participate in both long-term and short-term projects
involving data assembly, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of
results/recommendations while learning about credit risk management
principles and strategies in a loan-based financial services
environment. Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor of Science or
Master's degree in a quantitative field such as operations research,
statistics, econometrics, or mathematics. Experience with SQL and
statistical modeling software such as SSPS, SAS and/or S+ is preferred.

				Credit Risk Analyst - Data Management
				Contribute to credit risk management
projects focused on analyses designed to minimize losses while
maximizing risk-based returns. Participate in both long-term and
short-term projects involving database queries designed to assemble and
validate loan-level data. Collaborate with risk analysts to perform
appropriate data transformations and to develop useful metrics with the
goal of making data-driven risk decisions. Qualified candidates should
possess strong technical skills in manipulating and extracting data in
an Oracle environment. Additional experience in advanced Excel
functionality is beneficial, as is a working knowledge of banking
portfolio management.
