Now that Autumn Quarter has begun, have your students thought about what 
they're going to do next Spring?  If studying abroad is on their list, why not 
suggest they think about Spring in London!  By a happy coincidence, 
applications are currently being accepted for the English Department's London 
program (http://depts.washington.edu/engl/abroad/london.html) for Spring 2007:

DATES: March 22 through June 1, 2007

COST: $5900.00 program fee plus $200 UW International Programs and Exchanges 
fee for a total of $6100.00.

Fees include: instructional costs, room and board, London Transport pass, 
excursions, textbooks.  (NOT included are airfare, weekday lunches, personal 
spending money, incidental expenses.)

COURSES (taught by British and UW faculty): three 5-credit classes offered; all 
students take all three courses.  Courses are all UW courses giving resident UW 
credit and include:

ENGL 490 or DRAMA 494: London Theatre

ART H 399: Art, Architecture and Society in London

HST 499 or POL S 495: Contemporary Britain

ELIGIBILITY: Any UW student who has successfully completed at least one 
200-level literature course at the UW.

ADMISSION: First-come/first-served.
