Fri Apr 17 00:14:58 PDT 2009
Below is an outline proving the Riemann hypothesis and Goldbach's conjecture. Actually, just kidding, it is merely an outline of our events for Spring Quarter. But it is an exciting outline. Come out of your basements, offices, classrooms, and play.
(1) MOVIE NIGHT
April 24th (FRIDAY!)
Thompson Hall Room 325
Come watch cute FBI agents use math to solve crimes on the TV show Numb3rs.
There will be free pizza (hear that, graduate students?)
*For the events below, further emails with more details will be sent out as we are nearing the following scheduled events.
(2) Riddle Night Competition
Free food and mathematical riddles in competition. In addition to smug self-satisfaction, there will be a material PRIZE for the winner.
(3) Free Bowling at the HUB
May 15th (Tentative Date, Might Change, Will Update)
Free bowling and food. Come hang out, bring your friends.
(4) Departmental Dinner
Our last departmental dinner for this quarter. Come have a casual dinner with other people in the UW Math Department.
(5) We are also planning TWO pizza/lectures this quarter. Undergraduates will present their research/interests in math and there will be free food.
(6) Elections for the 2009-2010 Academic Year
Around Week 9

Although responsibilites are flexible, here is a summary of each office:
