Hello!

I am a graduate student in mathematics here at UW. Professor Ginger
Warfield and I are looking for math majors interested in participating in
the Mathfair program. The Mathfair program is an opportunity for you to
get paid for playing math games with grade-school students. This quarter
we will be meeting on Tuesdays, May 5 (next week!), May 12, May 19 and May
26.

On each Mathfair day we meet in the Math Lounge at around noon to
familiarize ourselves with the games. Then at about 12:30 we head down to
the school (transportation is provided) and play the games with the
grade-school students in their classrooms. This quarter we will meet with
two classes for 45 minutes each, which puts us back on campus by 3:30.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in getting paid to
do, please email me: tw3 at math.washington.edu. The first meeting is next
week, so the sooner you reply the better.

Take care,

Troy Winfree
