Attention UW Math majors: The following email is from an assistant
professor at the Department of Mathematics at Rutgers University, looking
for third and fourth year Math majors/minors to help with an Internet
experiment.

Hello,

I am currently running a new internet experiment on the ways in which mathematical proofs may be
modified in order to make them more understandable to undergraduate math students. In this new
experiment participants are shown one proof and six questions about this proof. You may have
participated in a similar experiment that our research group sent around earlier this year. We
greatly appreciate your participation in our research!

Participation in this experiment takes around 15 minutes and is absolutely anonymous. If you would
like to participate, please click on the following link:

Interested parties will be debriefed once we have completed the experiment.

Thank you very much in advance for your participation,

Juan Pablo Mejia-Ramos
