All,
This week's Grand Rounds will be delivered by Dr. Gregory Roth, a cardiology fellow in our system and recent graduate from both our residency program and school of public health. In 2010 Greg won the Bruce-Laughlin Research Award for the division of Cardiology given to the fellow with the "most outstanding academic contributions and potential."
His talk for tomorrow is entitled "Medication Non-adherence in Cardiovascular Medicine: Patients, Pills and Population Health." In addition to offering a catchy alliterative title, this talk promises to shed light on the breadth and impact of medication nonadherence. Greg gave the same talk at Cardiology Grand rounds in June and was the talk of the department for a time.
If you're on an inpatient rotation, plan your rounds on Thursday accordingly. If you are on an outpatient rotation, attendance is expected. For the interns, you most certainly do have time to attend Grand Rounds in the morning and still make it to the intern retreat on time. Please join us for Grand Rounds.
Tomorrow (Thursday) 8-9am, T625 (UWMC T wing).
Best,
Mike (for the Chiefs)
