NHS Hinkley Book Launch: Dan signing a book
The Library would like to thank the Northwest Horticultural Society
<http://www.northwesthort.org/> and specifically *Deborah Heg, Ann
LeVasseur & Barbara Asmervig* for their initiative, creativity, time and
hard work. Ralph and Lynn Davis donated the wine and many businesses and
individuals <http://www.northwesthort.org/updates.html> donated items
for the silent auction. The proceeds of over $13,000 from the event will
directly benefit the Library's operating budget. We appreciate your
support!
David H. Fishman Exhibit
David H. Fishman's love of horticulture and photography combine with his
skills in photo restoration and graphics to create stunning works. His
attention to detail makes his plant portraits "so realistic they jump
off the page!" The photographs reflect his fascination with the
beautiful and the unusual. His solo show, /Unique Botanical Portraits,/
will be on display at the Miller Library June 1 through July 30, 2009.
