Hi All,

I hope you all had a relaxing weekend and can make it to the First Nations meeting on Wednesday, @6pm in the ECC. We are still working in committees and Vagina Monologues are this Friday. Also, for Tia's project we will be talking about how we define colonization and decolonization. Try to give it some food for thought for tomorrow night's meeting :)

 Introductions: Name, Tribe/Nation, Major, and who do you draw inspiration from?
 Guest: Dalia Amin-Director of Diversity Efforts from ASUW
 Feb. 18th the 4th annual social justice and hunger banquet

 Powwow Committees
o Before event committees:
 Vendors: Revamp cover letter and contract. Acquire information from past year and coop of who to send letters to, go over method of retrieving contracts, and sending out confirmations…
 Volunteers: Who/where can we recruit? How long of shifts do you want to offer? Looking into setting up a catalyst survey so people can sign up for shifts, be sure to include accommodations as a question…
 Donations/Fundraising: Revamp the donation letters we have, be more specific of what items we need, how much. Who can we send these letters to? Other ways we can raise some $$$???
 Royalty/Raffle: have a number and email of someone who can do crowns, decide whether we need shawls and will accept polly o. offer, who to give tickets to?.....
 Promotions/PR: tabling, classes, native newsletters, websites-look at others and work on ours…..
 Elder’s Dinner: contact Phil Ward-he may want to assist, what to have? …..
o Other committees are more day of so think about, but work on later…..
