Head, Science Library, Univ. of Oregon.  Seeking experienced applicants
with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.  Administers reference,
instruction, collection development and access services.  Acts as primary
bibliographer for the sciences.  Works with faculty in designing/teaching
credit courses.  Requires: ALA-accredited MLS and substantial experience in
the provision of science reference in an academic/research library;
successful supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership qualities;
awareness of national/international issues and trends in science education,
technology and reference services; record of achievement in national
professional associations and/or publications.  Desired: Academic
background in life, physical, or computer sciences.  SALARY:  $50,000
