Brown bears of Alaska

On behalf of a researcher preparing for a conference talk at the
end of April, I am looking for a distribution map of brown bears
of Alaska, prepared by William Hornaday in 1900. The map was
mentioned in Hornday's book, A Wild animal round-up (1925, p.
221). It is unclear from context whether the map was published.
Several editions of Hornaday's American Natural History include a
chart showing the geographic distribution of bear species of
North America.
I have checked the staff bibliography maintained at the Bronx Zoo
Library and also the cumulative index to NYZS/WCS house
publications. I've also taken a look at Hornaday's reference
scrapbooks, which include many maps created by adding data to
printed four color maps. There is one distribution map for black
bears of North America, but none for brown bears.
I would appreciate any leads. I am hoping I missed something
really easy...
