Suggestions for book sale?

Due to space constraints I have been weeding the library for the last few 
months and now I am preparing for my first library book sale. Does anyone 
have any suggestions for pricing used library and donated books? Because 
many of the books are scholarly scientific texts and/or in near perfect 
condition I am very hesitant to price them at standard public library 
prices ($.50 - $1.00). I've also noticed that some libraries auction books 
instead of having a standard sale. Any suggestions?

Any book sale advice is welcome.
