Registration and Deposit Due February 15th

The CIBERs at Texas A&M University and the University of Hawai'i at Manoa 
are co-sponsoring the 7th annual Faculty Development in International 
Business (FDIB) Program in Asia, to be held May 26 to June 12, 1999.  This 
program explores issues related to international business and economic 
development in East Asia.  Orientation sessions will be held in Hawai'i and 
will be followed by visits to Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, and Hong Kong.  
Company site visits and meetings with business executives, educators, and 
government officials will give participants a first-hand look at East Asian 
business practices, culture, economic, and political environments.  

Program cost: $3,900.  Includes: Airfare originating from and ending in Los 
Angeles, hotel accommodations (double occupancy), breakfasts, local  
transportation to and from airports and site visits, briefing package.

The UH and TAMU CIBERs have a limited number of fellowships available to 
support selected business school faculty.  These $900 fellowships are 
intended to facilitate participation in the program.  Fellowships will be 
provided to U.S. business school faculty members, deans, and administrators 
after a selection process by the FDIB program co-directors.
