DOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSISTANTSHIP IN WATERSHED CARBON CYCLING
DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES
UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA
A Ph.D. research assistantship is available in the Department of
Environmental Sciences at the University of Virginia. The student will
be involved in an inter-institution project on watershed-level carbon
distribution and fluxes to be conducted at the Tenderfoot Creek
Experimental in western Montana. Prior experience with eddy covariance
methodology for estimating land-atmosphere exchange of carbon is
desirable, including working with the instrumentation, data logging and
data analysis. The project overall will examine the topographic and
watershed-level environmental controls on carbon fluxes between land and
atmosphere, and dissolved organic carbon transport through streamwater.
Interested applicants should send a CV, statement of interest and names
