Research Support Specialist, part or full-time, 20-40 hours per week

Forest and Natural Resources Management Faculty

Salary Range: $20,000+ (at full-time), depending on qualifications

Duration: 2-3 years, possible extension

Brief Description of Duties: The candidate will provide administrative,
laboratory, and field support for several ongoing forest ecology projects in
the lab of Dr. Ruth Yanai by managing the lab, processing data and preparing
figures, analyzing samples (ICP-OES, autoanalyzer), administrating accounts,
and performing general lab tasks as required.  In addition, the candidate
will have the opportunity to gain experience by providing assistance with
the preparation of manuscripts and proposals.  The ideal candidate will be
able to prioritize tasks, work independently, and solicit feedback.

Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree; research experience in a laboratory or
field setting; computer and statistical skills.

Date to Be Filled: Flexible; as soon as possible

interviews in April but were unsuccessful in filling the position.  We hope
to begin a second round of interviews in mid-May; review of applications
