Not sure how this first appeared on PH-INFO, as I just joined the list
after this was forwarded to me, or if any one else has responded. But at
least part of the UW response to Lynn Gray Breaux's question might be...
Lynn -
We've done a fair amount with Syndromic surveillance, inconjunction with
Jeff Duchin at Public Health - Seattle & King County. We anticipate that
we work more closely in the future with Greg Smith and the state DOH in
cooperation with their WEDSS implementation.
Either Bryant Karras or I are good contact people.
There's a brief write up
here: http://cirg.washington.edu/public/cirg/ssic.php, out of date, as
always...!
Also, try http://bt.cirg.washington.edu - pertains to last fall's
roundtable, but has more system description stuff there, in particular at
https://secure.cirg.washington.edu/bt2001amia/ssic.html.
And, there is the Mar/Apr paper in Jamia.
Bill
PS - the seminar sounds great!
