Chris Hale and I conceived of the idea of linking to the V&HS sections of
the State Health Departments to make it easier for our distance students
to locate useable state level statistics for analysis in classes but I
also thought it might be of interest to my friends on the lists I
moderate.

The amount of statistical information on the Web is becoming staggering. 
Organizing it can be an interesting project, but maintenance is really
going to be a monster.
