I found Dr. Gebbie's information extremely helpful. We at The University of
Texas at Austin have formed a team of faculty which is charged with
developing an elective course on disaster response for baccalaureate
nursing students. We are also charged with determining how to infuse
content into the regular curriculum so some competency in this area is held
by all graduates. The team of faculty working on this course hail from
public health, acute care, mental health, and management. Have any of you
developed a course that is currently being taught or have plans to develop
one? If so, do you have any "words of wisdom" to share?
