Due to the unexpected change in ownership and impending
renovations of the
Columbia Doubletree (now the Thunderbird Hotel on the River), the
3rd Western
Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology Conference has been moved.
It will be
held at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel at 8235 NE Airport
Way in Portland,
Oregon.
Register now! The University of Washington School of Public
Health and
Community Medicine and the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention are
sponsoring the 3rd Western Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology
Conference in
Portland, Oregon on May 12-13, 2005. National and regional
speakers will
address emerging public health issues in maternal and child
health. Roundtable
and breakout sessions will provide opportunities for in-depth
learning and
discussion on data management and utilization, recent survey
findings, and
current key topics for local, state and tribal public health
practitioners and
students in maternal and child health.
***CALL FOR ABSTRACTS***
The conference will have a Poster Session on the evening of May
12. Abstracts
will be accepted through March 1, 2005 for poster presentations
on MCH
Epidemiology topics. Instructions for submitting abstracts for poster
presentations have been posted on the web site.
