Friends:

Some of you may read the American Journal of Nursing. This librarian is
collecting classic articles in nursing and has asked for feedback from
medical librarians about articles they know nurses and physicians use in
their work.

I thought some of you might be interested in having articles of special
interest from this journal of interest to public health nurses included
in the list.

So, contact Patricia Losi driectly if you have article suggestions. If
you want to share with this group, that would be very nice, too.

Laura

Hi all,

I'm pleased to announce that we have partnered with JSTOR to digitize the
American Journal of Nursing from volume 1, issue 1 - October 1900 through
volume 98, issue 12 - December 1998, and will continue to digitize one
volume per succeeding year. The files will be available as part of JSTOR's
Health and General Sciences Collection, and individual articles from
1900-1998 will also be available on a pay-per-view basis through Nursing
Center and AJN Online.

To prepare for the completion of this project, I'm compiling a list of
classic articles from our back catalog, and would welcome any suggestions
for older articles that have been heavily used by nurses or physicians over
the years, or those that have particular historical significance. The list
will be available as a complement to the pay-per-view articles once the
digitized files are posted.

Thank you for your help with this exciting endeavor!

Sincerely,
Trish Losi
