Without doing a lit search, I can recommend that you
get a copy of the National Dairy Council's report:
Kids: They're not Little Adults, 1996 from your local
affiliate or from the NCD in Chicago. Their # is 708-
803-2000. (I can't tell by
your email address or the info below if you are in the
U.S., but I think you can get it even if you're not ...)
They have over one hundred citations in their bibliography
which will give you plenty to choose from. For the most recent
journal articles (1996-97) you will need to do a brief
lit search. Hope this helps. Linda Bobroff, U of Florida

Linda,
I am certainly in agreement about gradually easing into a total lower
fat diet from 2 to 5 years, especially in community nutrition programs.
Do you have any specific research resources that you might want to share
about dietary changes for that age group. I collect resources for use
with practicum students. Thanks, Doris
