On July 9-12, 1997, the University of Minnesota will hold its annual "Maternal Nutrition Intensive Course" in Minneapolis.

The improvement of maternal and infant health through the delivery of risk-appropriate, high-quality nutrition services is the overall goal of this 4-day continuing education program sponsored by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (HRSA).

This popular course has been designed for dietitians, nutritionists, CNMs, nurses and nurse practitioners, and others who work with preconceptional, pregnant and breastfeeding women to improve the course and outcomes of pregnancy.

The course provides an opportunity to spend four days focusing on and improving skills in this important area of nutrition services, and a chance to interact with faculty and fellow participants from throughout the country (and beyond) who share goals concerning maternal nutrition.

The ADA has approved this program for 21 clock hours of continuing education for DTRs and RDs. The program has also been approved for 21 hours of continuing professional education (CEU).
