Definitions of Dietitians and Nutritionists

Friends:

I received a phone call this morning from John McKenzie (author) who is
writing a book on obesity. He would like a good definition of Dietitian
and one of Nutritionist. (What is a Dietitian? What is a
Nutritionist?) Since you are the experts, I am requesting help
for getting John a definition or two. (I have an ulterior motive).

If you have a favorite definition, please send it to John
<jkm3 at spipeline.com> with a copy to the list. I don't have a good
definition of these terms for the public health nutritionists home page
and this would be a good opportunity to add one.
