Amelia, you might check with the Eating Disorders Awareness Prevention
(EDAP) group in Seattle. Call Sarah Roth at (206) 382-3587. Also the
Washington State Department of Health is planning a training in May for
health professionals, educators and parents who work with teens (a little
older population than 8-12 year olds). The focus of the training is on
teen health and media literacy---basically how the media influences teen
health behavior. One of the topics will be eating disorders and there
may be information available on curriculum. Contact David Keyes at (206)
543-9415.
