Dear colleagues,

your knowledge of nutrition and HIV; includes an introductory offer

and much more

I hope some of you who have posted re alternative therapies and quackery
will post information you've gleaned under the thread "Alternative
therapies -- the good, the bad, and the ugly." This is a place to let
others know about safe, effective products, as well as scams and
quackery. If there are products or services that you or your clients
have found effective, let others know. If you've evidence of a new
health scam, please post so others can benefit. The subject of Mannatech
has come up repeatedly, as has the Rexall line -- why keep reinventing
the wheel? Post information here!

The thread "Reimbursement issues" now includes a list of useful URLS you
can copy off for later use.

Other information: a source for FFQ for children; also for low literacy
cookbooks.
And, if you need low literacy information, resources, or are working
with low income, culturally diverse audiences, you need to visit Ellen
Schuster's site -- it's fantastic!

There's information on carb counting in pediatric diabetes and a calcium
brochure for kids.

The Food Safety Institute offers a manual on food safety policy and
procedures that you can purchase at a discount.

Queries -- anyone have information on Nutrition and addictive behavior,
or nicotine withdrawal and impact on appetite & health? know of a
portable nutrition therapy resource? know of an interaction between
Reglan and enteral formulas? Know about dietitians involved in
assessment/tx of pts with dysphagia?
