New fad diets

I have a fairly broad question that I would like some input on.
I am writing an article on fad diets for physicians.
What are the current fad diets that are the rage?  
I am aware of a number but I know there are more out there that I have
not yet heard about.  Could anyone give me some input on these and a
brief description of what the diets entail?
