Family Meals

We are working with our communications staff on developing messages that 
will capture the attention of the media.  Our current 5 A Day press 
releases have not captured any attention and so we are now thinking of 
couching our messages within the framework of the "family meals" concept. 
 Our communications staff have asked if we know of any published research 
on the benefits of "family meals".  I have certainly heard the anecdotal 
information about "family meals" improving family communication and 
school performance as well as nutrition but have not seen much in print 
in peer reviewed journals.  Does anyone know of published articles on 
this topic?
