Salary Ranges: $3,430 - $4,164 per month.

Typical Tasks:
A PHNC II, under general supervision in an assigned geographic area or
special subject matter independently...
- Provides complex nutrition and program consultation and technical
  assistance to public and private agencies on the delivery of nutritio=
n-
  related services;
- Plans, develops, organizes, monitors, and evaluates nutrition and foo=
d
  service programs and studies;
- Develops, coordinates, and conducts training programs;
- May serve in a lead capacity to nutrition consultants and other healt=
h-
  related multidisciplinary staff;
- Develops and evaluates program standards, policies, and procedures of=

  average difficulty;
- Researches and writes articles and reports for various audiences;
- Does other related work.

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: 2 years of professional experience in nutrition or dietetic=
s
gained after obtaining eligibility for registration with the Commission=
 on
Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the Am. Dietetic Assn. (ADA) in nutritio=
n or
dietetics, at least one year of which shall have been as a nutritioncon=
sul-
tant in a public health agency or as an institutional dietary consultan=
t. AND
Education: Possession of a Master's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Pub=
lic
Health, Institutional Management, or other nutrition field. Possession =
of a
valid certificate of registration with the CDR of the ADA. Applicants
eligible for registration will be admitted to the exam, but they must s=
ecure
the required certificate before being considered for appointment.
