g-tube question

Listmates:

I hate to admit it, but I'm not an expert on burping with G-tubes. Can
someone help me with this question posed by a foster mom?

"I thought kids with
fundo-plications could not burp at all ( thus the *need* for the G-tube to
remove air from the stomach ). I have read on the DS list now that kids can
learn to burp & then get their G-tube out . I'm confused by this info."
