My office, the USDA Food and Nutrition Service, Office of Analysis,
Nutrition and Evaluation (OANE), is seeking to fill a number of
full-time positions. We need nutritionists, social science researchers,
and statisticians to help fill out the multidisciplinary team that will
help support the upgraded nutrition functions of our office. Our agency,
the USDA Food and Nutrition Service, is responsible for national
administration of the 15 domestic food and nutrition assistance
programs, including Food Stamps, WIC and the National School Lunch and
School Breakfast Programs. 

OANE is a staff office to the agency administrator. Our office of 53
professional positions does not handle day-to-day program operation, but
rather is responsible for 1)  legislative, regulatory and other policy
analysis, 2) nutrition policy development and coordination, 3) in-house
data analysis and report writing, and 4) development and management of an
extramural research and evaluation program. Our office is located at FNS
headquarters in Alexandria, VA (suburban Washington DC, 15 minutes from
