Dear listfriends,
I received a query from a member of another listserv, whose mother is a
retired RD. She is increasingly disabled, but wishes to maintain her RD
status, as this is important to her. An excerpt from his letter follows:

" This week she let slip that she needs to make up a lot of "points"
toward recertification by next May, and she didn't see any way to do it
without attending a convention or two. I'm concerned about this because
Mom doesn't travel well and the conventions are going to be at least 250
miles away.
I was wondering if you had any ideas for making up a lot of credits in
short time without access to a major city or going to a convention. "

I have already recommended the JADA articles, which she can do at home;
however, that may not be enough hours, and it could be that few of the
articles will be of interest to her. Does anyone have any
recommendations for this disabled RD? I'll be glad to pass them on to
her son.
Best,
Kathrynne
