PA#160 NUTRITION EDUCATOR, WIC COORDINATOR

LOCATION: Schenectady County, Schenectady, NY

Cornell Cooperative Extension seeks a Nutrition Educator to serve as a team
member in planning, implementing and evaluating the integrated Nutrition
Education program for the Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of
Schenectady County. Coordinate and provide leadership for the Supplemental
Nutrition Assistance Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), including
supervision of WIC Clinic sites. In conjunction with the Human Ecology Program
Leader, develop program objectives and plans within assigned area of
responsibility. Represent the Association to the public, community leaders,
government officials, and Cornell University in conjunction with program
responsibilities. Work cooperatively across program areas and county lines as
necessary to ensure integrated and quality programming. Assume organizational
and leadership development responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree with concentration in nutrition (Master's
preferred). Background in maternal and child nutrition preferred. Must be NYS
WIC Program CPA-eligible. At least three years of relevant experience in
nutrition in a community, education, human service or health care setting.
Supervisory experience and experience with the WIC Program required.

SALARY: $37,000
