Hi Judy and All,
Interesting post and theory on "virus prevention". As a dietitian and computer
techie, I'd like to find out more about your dad's rationale, though, Judy,
before I can buy into it. Whether it is opened by a "viewer" or the full
software program, the file is still opened, and to my knowledge, opening the
file is what unleashes the virus. If your dad has more detail to support this
theory, I'd love to hear from him. News like this would put the antivirus
companies out of business pretty quickly if it were correct.
