Nutrition Resource Manager: Food Bank of Central New York.

The Food Bank seeks a nutritionist with strong public health and/or
food service background to join our staff in serving food assistance
programs
in an 11-county region of Central New York. Full-time position with
benefits.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in food service administration,
community
nutrition or related field; Masters and/or RD desirable. Two years
experience in community/public health settings; demonstrated ability to
work with and design
food/nutrition education experiences for people of diverse ages,
socioeconomic status,
and ethnic heritage. Candidate should also have good computer skills,
demonstrated ability to use good judgement and work independently, and
have
a valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle.

Job Duties Include: Plan and provide food/nutrition education and
technical assistance
for Food Bank staff and food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters;
provide training
in food safety, sanitation, and product quality; help administer
state-funded grant programs;
cooperate with health and human service providers to improve food
security in the
11-county region; help compile and interpret information on local,
state, and national
hunger trends; work with NYS Food Bank nutritionists on joint projects.

Starting salary range: $34,000-36,000.
