REQUIRED: A King County application form, data sheet, resume and letter of
interest detailing your background and describing how you meet or exceed the
requirements are required. WORK LOCATION: MOMs Plus, 1001 Broadway Avenue,
Suite 109, Seattle WA. 98122. WORK SCHEDULE: This position is 1.0 FTE (40
hours/week). Clinic hours are normally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through
Friday, with occasional evening hours. Hours vary depending on client and
program need. PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS: Provide direct client centered
nutrition services to high-risk, multiethnic women, adolescents, and
children, including nutrition assessment, development, implementation and
evaluation of care plans, WIC certification, nutrition education, and check
issuance, and case conferencing on shared MOMS Plus clients. Actively
participate in multidisciplinary teams in WIC and Maternity Support and
Maternity Case Management Services. Prepare WIC nutrition education plan and
evaluation reports. Provide technical assistance and professional
consultation to MOMS Plus staff and community partners, such as treatment
centers, clean and sober housing, and other health care providers working
with client families. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor or Masters of Science or MPH
in Nutrition, Washington State Certified Dietitian, Registered with the
Commission of Dietetic Registration (RD). Direct experience working with
low-income multi-ethnic families and teens preferred. Previous WIC
experience desirable. Must be able to work effectively as a multi-
disciplinary team member. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid WA state
driver's license and/or the ability to travel within King county in a timely
manner. Eligible for certification as a Class A Health Care Assistant. Basic
computer skills preferred and knowledge of CIMS (Client Information
Management System) desirable. Will need to be able to flex schedule to do
some evening coverage on a limited basis. Most competitive applicant will
have experience working with adolescents, women, and families impacted by
chemical dependency and know the effects of drugs and alcohol on nutritional
status. Must have the ability to interview clients who may be under the
influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Must know confidentiality regulations
related to drug and alcohol prevention programs. This position is primarily
a field position, requiring visits to clients at treatment centers, clean
and sober housing, community shelters, and their places of residence. UNION
