If you're looking for some ways to help promote heart-healthy
behaviors during February, check out the online issue of
FOOD REFLECTIONS E-mail newsletter from our office. As always, feel
free to use/adapt/promote/link-to for your own educational activities.
Rather than thinking about what we SHOULD do to help prevent
heart disease, this issue helps you PLAN some ADVENTURES
for healthy behaviors you or your clientele WANT to do
(and that are FUN!).
TO BEGIN YOUR ADVENTURE: Visit the University of Nebraska Cooperative
Extension Lancaster County FOOD Web site (http://www.lanco.unl.edu/food)
and scroll to "Hot Topics".
The article offers 33 heart-healthy adventure suggestions to choose
from, along with heart-healthy recipes. There also are links to
WIN A PRIZE: Everyone who plans a heart-healthy adventure and e-mails
it to the address listed at the site during February will be entered
in a drawing for a heart-healthy cookbook.
COME, VISIT AND HAVE AN ADVENTURE!
