The following seminars presented by clinicians from the Mind/Body Medical Clinic
at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
and Harvard Medical School may be of
interest to your subscribers. These programs provide
an understanding of the principles of mind/body interventions
as advocated by Herbert Benson, M.D., and
provides training in specific interventions
practitioners can use with their
patients/clients. Mind/body interventions
encompass the relaxation response,
cognitive behavioral therapy, nutrition and exercise.
The workshops are:
Building a Practice of Empowered Self-Care
Module I: The Relaxation Response and Beyond
May 5-6, 2000
Module II: Physical Activity, Healthy Eating and Therapeutic Movement
May 12-13, 2000
Both programs will take place at the Royal Sonesta Hotel, Cambridge, MA, 8:30 AM
- 5:00 PM each day. Registration fee is $285.00/module; $500.00/both modules.
